Backloading Advice
Earlier is always better when planning any size backload or interstate furniture removal.
Prepare yourself an inventory of everythning that you will require to be moved.
Send this inventory to us, either by completing an online quotation, or via email.
Remember you can always update your inventory closer to your move if you decide to change anything.
Packing for your removal
Packing may take longer than you think
Try to use Moving Cartons that can’t be crushed and that have lids; not supermarket boxes.
Pack everything that can be boxed into a carton. Loose items are more exposed to loss or damage.
Use cartons for lampshades, water-bed bladders, small plants, trampoline mats and gym weights.
If you can crush the boxes by pushing down on them, then they will be too thin to protect it’s contents. Stripy bags and suitcases are OK for clothing..
DO NOT TRANSPORT
Items such as jewellery, insurance policies, legal documents, currency, stamp and coin collections, should not go with your removalist.
Either carry them with you or send by insured or certified mail.
DO NOT SHIP combustible and flammable items.
These include oil-base paints, bleach, cleaning and lighting fluids, matches and ammunition. All aerosol cans (including hair sprays, shaving creams, deodorants, household cleaners, insecticides, tarnish removers and car cleaners) should be eliminated from the shipment.
